Yoane Wissa is with the Newcastle United squad ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley.

Wissa is approaching full fitness for Newcastle United and could be involved at St James’ Park in Saturday’s Premier League game.

It has now been 96 days since Wissa signed for Newcastle from Brentford for a fee that could eventually rise to £55million.

Wissa hinted he could be in the squad for Newcastle against Burnley on social media and arrived at St James’ ahead of the clash.

Still, the former Brentford forward is not the only talking point ahead of the game, so here’s a look at the latest Newcastle United team news against Burnley.

Confirmed Newcastle United team news and injury latest vs Burnley

Howe has confirmed that Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth remain injured for Newcastle, while William Osula isn’t expected to return either.

Sven Botman has suffered a back injury and will not feature in this game. Sandro Tonali, meanwhile, is a doubt after suffering a knock against Tottenham earlier this week.

Nick Pope is also injured for Newcastle, meaning Aaron Ramsdale will feature in goal.
