Nick Woltemade scored perhaps his best goal for Newcastle United yet in Saturday’s win over Everton.
The sheer range of Woltemade’s increasing goal catalogue at Newcastle United is hugely impressive.
Newcastle’s club record signing has bagged towering headers, a ridiculous penalty and a series of impressive flicks.

It speaks of a player with a wide range of skills and Woltemade’s goal in Newcastle United’s 4-1 win over Everton was further evidence of that.
Collecting the ball from Anthony Elanga after a defensive mix-up in the Evertonian defence, Woltemade kept his composure and lobbed a certain Jordan Pickford.
That was his seventh goal for Newcastle and, such was the ingenuity of it, the German media – who haven’t always been the kindest to him – reacted with praise.
German media praise Nick Woltemade for goal against Everton
The goal summed up what kind of player Newcastle have on their hands with Woltemade.
He’s cool, calm, and composed. Had it not been for a block on the line in the second half, he may well have had another smart goal on the day too.
The brilliance of the goal attracted the interest of sections of the German media, too.
BILD said: “Woltemade is so cool!” before adding: “the stunning goal was Woltemade’s fifth Premier League goal of the season.”
Sky Sports Germany wrote: “How clever! National player Nick Woltemade scores with a lob in his club Newcastle United’s match against Everton.”
Eurosport described it as a “spectacular lob.”

Nick Woltemade has scored more goals than every other striker Newcastle United tried to sign
It’s well known that Woltemade, already on five Premier League goals this season, wasn’t Newcastle United’s first choice this summer.
In an ideal world, Alexander Isak would have stayed for at least another season. Failing that, Hugo Ekitike, Joao Pedro and Benjamin Sesko were all chased as his replacement.
Still, Woltemade is now in much better form than all of them.
Isak hasn’t scored in the Premier League this season. Pedro has four goals, Ekitike has so far scored three and Sesko has only scored twice.
Woltemade is growing in confidence at Newcastle and that is proving to be the case every single week.
That was his best away performance yet. Even outside of the goal, he looked much more involved in general play too.
