Newcastle United have learned their eight Champions League league phase opponents after Thursday’s draw and here is what their schedule looks like.
Excitement had drained out of Newcastle United after an extremely challenging summer for Eddie Howe’s side, which hadn’t seen the progress many hoped for when Champions League football was secured.
Newcastle have missed out on several high-calibre targets and their best player, world-class striker Alexander Isak, is desperate to leave and refusing to play for them again.
It’s no surprise that optimism is low after such difficulty, but fans have reason to be excited again after the record signing of Nick Woltemade and the return of the Champions League.
The Magpies have been drawn against Barcelona, Benfica, Athletic Club and PSV Eindhoven at St. James’ Park, while big away days with PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille and Union SG are to come as well.
Here’s when the games will take place.
