Even rival Premier League clubs can see what’s going wrong at Newcastle United.
Indeed, Newcastle United’s latest crisis is painful to behold. This club have had teams who arguably lack desire and leadership before, but rarely have they been as talented as this one.
Equally, they’ve had much worse teams on paper who have given supporters much more than this incarnation.
The mood is starting to turn toxic and Eddie Howe – who is not exempt from criticism – is taking the brunt of it.
Newcastle United are in dreadful form and it’s hard to see where their next win is coming from. Such is the state they are currently in, a rival Premier League club have described them as “tired”.
Rival Premier League club call Newcastle ‘tired’
According to iNews, a person at a rival Premier League club summed it all up right now when they called Newcastle United “tired”.
That one word does so much to describe the many issues facing the club at the moment.
The players look shattered, whether that’s in confidence, ideas or motivation levels. Some may argue all three.
Supporters are tired of the same old issues in Howe’s tactical set-up, as well as radio silence from PIF on any of the truly important matters.
Howe must be tired of repeating the same old things after every game. Wherever one stands on the subject of his future, watching him get booed is painful given all he’s done for the club – even if such a reaction is currently justifiable.
The whole project, as grim a word as that is to use for a football club, is looking tired right now. Things have run out of steam and the bubble has been burst.
Newcastle desperately need this season to end but, frankly, decisions made for a while now do not give supporters much hope that a clear path forward to success will be opened.
