Who would you start?

Newcastle United could be without Sandro Tonali for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Fulham.

Tonali sat on the bench for Newcastle United against Benfica on Tuesday night after suffering from illness.

The midfielder did train earlier this week in the build-up to Saturday’s clash but is still feeling under the weather.

That is a blow for Eddie Howe, although Lewis Miley did step up and impress during the Italian’s absence.

It will be interesting to see if the Newcastle United manager makes many changes for Saturday’s clash. His side played well against Benfica but Howe has consistently rotated his squad due to their relentless run of fixtures.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Newcastle United confirmed team news, injury latest and our predicted lineup.

Howe has confirmed that Tonali remains a doubt for the visit of the Cottagers.

“We are still monitoring Sandro,” he said.

“He did train on Wednesday but wasn’t 100% so he is touch and go for the game.”

The midfielder looks like Newcastle’s only doubt for the game at this stage, with none of their injured players expected to return.

Newcastle United injury latest ahead of Fulham

Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall and Yoane Wissa are all injured for Newcastle ahead of the Fulham game.

Hall and Wissa, however, could return from hamstring and knee injuries respectively in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Livramento has stepped up his recovery following a knee injury sustained in early October.

“Tino is back on the grass for the first time today, so happy for him,” said Howe on Friday. “Lewis is the same, on the grass and doing well, so hopefully he is not too far away.”

Of Wissa, Howe said: “He’s on track. He’s doing well. So now I think we can push him a little bit harder. Still the same [early November]. I’m losing track of weeks. It’s not changed.”

Joelinton could be pushing to come back into the side after starting on the bench against Benfica.

Still, given the strength of their performance against the Lisbon giants earlier this week, it would not be a surprise to see Howe stick with the same team.
