Fabian Hurzeler was absolutely stunned by one Newcastle United player during Brighton’s 2-1 win on Saturday.
The Seagulls continue to be Newcastle United’s bogey team on the road, with Eddie Howe still without a win at the Amex Stadium as Toon boss.
Brighton beat Newcastle 2-1, with Danny Welbeck scoring either side of Nick Woltemade’s outrageous goal.
The German striker produced an outrageous bit of skill to draw the Magpies level, but it was ultimately all for nothing as they suffered their third Premier League defeat of the season.
Nick Woltemade dazzles Florian Hurzeler with ‘unbelievable goal’
It was a really disappointing afternoon for Newcastle United, with Nick Woltemade’s goal the only real positive that Howe can take.
The 23-year-old now has five goals to his name since becoming Newcastle’s most expensive signing, continuing to silence the critics that questioned his £69million move to Tyneside.
Woltemade continues to shine for his new club, and Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has admitted he is really ‘impressed’ with how the Toon forward has started his Premier League career.
“In my conference yesterday, I said I hoped he didn’t score against us,” he told BBC Match of the Day.
“He scored an unbelievable goal.
“I am impressed with how fast he’s adapted to the Premier League.”

Newcastle United need to create more opportunities for Nick Woltemade
The most impressive thing about Woltemade’s start to life at Newcastle United is that he has often been feeding off of scraps.
The rest of the Newcastle United squad are still getting to grips with how he plays, with Woltemade an incredibly different forward to Alexander Isak.
The lanky striker has five goals already, proving to be clinical in the penalty area. He has had to be, as his teammates are not creating enough chances for him.
Other than his goal, Woltemade did not really have any other clear cut chances against Brighton. That is something that Eddie Howe must work on, as Woltemade is going to continue being his main striker for the next few games.
Yoane Wissa’s injury could rule him out until the Brentford game, which is scheduled for 9th November. Until then, it will almost certainly be Woltemade leading the line for the Magpies.
