The Tyne Valley Derby returned to the Old Haulage Stadium as RACA hosted arch rivals Prudhoe Seniors in the reverse fixture. Having convincingly beaten Prudhoe 4–1 earlier in the season, RACA were aiming to complete the double, but the night ended in a hard-fought draw. The heavens opened over Crawcrook, setting the stage on a dark, rainy night that added extra grit to the contest.
RACA started brighter and took the lead midway through the half.
Louis Anderson struck to make it 1–0, and he could easily have had a hat-trick with the chances that fell his way. Prudhoe tested RACA keeper Callum Corkhill from distance, but he stood firm to keep the hosts ahead at the break.
RACA doubled their advantage from a corner, with Anderson bagging his brace to make it 2–0.
Prudhoe clawed their way back into the game when a speculative shot slipped past Corkhill to reduce the deficit to 2–1. Just five minutes later, RACA failed to clear their lines from another corner, and Prudhoe capitalised to level the score at 2–2.
Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but the spoils were shared. RACA will feel frustrated after letting a two-goal lead slip, while Prudhoe showed resilience to fight back and earn a point.
