Eddie Howe giving his reaction to the contract extension: “Harvey’s new contract is very well deserved and a reflection of the work he’s put in and the quality he’s shown throughout his three years at Newcastle United. Harvey is a player who has consistently produced special moments at vital times for the team. He’s calm in front of goal, whether that’s one-on-one or from distance, and is always a threat from wide areas. Harvey has vast experience at the highest level but we believe there is still more to come.”
Newcastle United Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, has also given his reaction: “Harvey’s record for the club speaks for itself. He managed to reach new heights last season on a personal level and that’s testament to the mentality and professionalism we see on a daily basis. We see him as a big part of our plans going forward, and it made total sense to secure his future. Much like we’ve done with Fabian Schar and Sven Botman in recent months, we’re delighted to extend that experience into what we see as Harvey’s prime years. Everybody knows what Harvey is capable of on the pitch his personality off it. Harvey has full focus on the season ahead and I know he wants to make sure he continues to build on everything he has achieved so far at Newcastle.”
