Here’s my answer to the numerous media articles on the Premier League season ahead and how I see things panning out.
Arsenal. Wow this lot are boring. If they lost their keeper they would be mid table. Saka is awful. They have no forward. If cheating at corners is being clamped down on they are doomed.
Villa. What a shame. This isn’t what SCR is meant to do. Ripping a team apart helps nobody but six clubs.
Brighton. Boring
Bournemouth. Beatable
Chelsea. A mad club that nobody is in control of. Might do well this year.
LiVARpool. Boring. Barcola is lightweight and will hopefully replace Gapko who is a much better player. Alexander Isak had 14 touches against Forest where again they were lucky to get a point.
Everton. I predict a poor season.
Manyoo. An injury to Fernandes and they will struggle. We need Lewis Hall on a new contract to fend off the vermin. And handball not being allowed would be useful. That’s the same side of the box where Young handled against us. Maybe it’s some kind of VAR Bermuda Rectangle.
Man Citeh. Don’t count. Just football manager FC. Don’t think Enzo will help their cause.
Ipswich. Hope they stay up.
Hull. Hope they go down
Mackems. Beat them home and away and then they get relegated. If Xhaka gets injured they are doomed.
Forest. Mid table. Glasner is a good manager.
Leeds. Mid table. Home form will keep them up.
Fulham. Nobody cares
Brentford. See above.
Coventry. Gonna struggle to stay up. Lampard isnt that good.
Palace. Might go down this year.
And finally…
Based purely on football being a source of entertainment I have got to declare a new favourite second team.. Spurs! This lot are so funny. “We are back, we are huge” declared the bloke on the stadium tannoy, 0-2 read the scoreboard. I reckon this could be the year. The flash expensive players are the worst ones to have in a relegation battle. Can’t see Sandro Tonali busting a gut when the chips are down to be honest.
