Gateshead have revealed the plans to honour Kevin Keegan when they play Newcastle United.
This Saturday (25 July) it is a 12.30pm kick-off at the Gateshead International Stadium.
It will be the first Newcastle United friendly to be played in front of fans this pre-season.
Last Saturday having seen a 3-0 win for United over Darlington in a behind closed doors kick about at the NUFC training ground.
Gateshead FC announcing on Thursday: ‘Gateshead and Newcastle United will pay their respects to Kevin Keegan at Saturday’s match at the GIS. Both teams will observe a minute’s silence ahead of kick off in Kevin’s memory, and will wear black armbands throughout the match as a mark of respect for a man revered on Tyneside.’
There are still tickets on sale for the Newcastle United friendly and Gateshead report that they are only available online, and are on sale until 12pm on Saturday.
