Afner Ca has signed for Newcastle United.
An official announcement on Monday afternoon revealing the news.
The 6ft 4 striker became available following the expiry of his contract at Levante, the top tier La Liga side.
The official club statement starting: ‘Newcastle United have completed the signing of Guinea-Bissau forward Afner Ca. The 19-year-old joins the club’s Academy following the expiry of his contract with La Liga side Levante. Cá, who moved to Spain from Portuguese club Amora FC in the summer of 2025, made 27 appearances in all competitions for Levante U19s last season, scoring four goals. He previously made his senior debut for Amora in the Campeonato de Portugal during the 2024/25 campaign, having impressed the previous year with 13 goals across 31 appearances at youth level.’
No mention of how long his contract is for but previously there had been media claims it was going to be a five-year contract with Newcastle United.

Obviously one for the future hopefully and he will initially go into the Academy.
