England team v Uruguay now confirmed

The England team v Uruguay has been announced.

A 7.45pm kick-off on Friday night at Wembley.

England have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals as top of the group, so two friendlies.

It is England v Uruguay tonight, then it is England v Japan kicking off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 31 March.

Thomas Tuchel with 35 players in his latest England squad but 11 of them will only join in time to be in contention for the Japan match, so won’t be in consideration for the Uruguay game. Anthony Gordon and Dan Burn are two of those eleven that will join late, alongside Burn, Gordon, Henderson, Guehi, Konsa, O’Reilly, Anderson, Saka, Kane, Rogers and Rice.

So this is the England team v Uruguay that has been named just over an hour before kick-off:
