Newcastle United now with more players in the England squad than any other club

Two players have withdrawn from the England squad and their replacements now confirmed.

The FA on Monday revealing that Newcastle United’s Harvey Barnes and Arsenal’s Ben White have been added to the England squad for the March 2026 get together.

They replace Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jarell Quansah, who are ruled out through injury.

Harvey Barnes made his only appearance for the senior team in October 2020, a friendly against Wales, while White has four caps to his name.

Thomas Tuchel named his latest England squad on Friday, for two friendlies, England v Uruguay on Friday 27 March, with a 7.45pm kick-off, then it is England v Japan kicking off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 31 March.

There were five Newcastle United players named in the England squad on Friday – Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento, Aaron Ramsdale and Lewis Hall. With Harvey Barnes bringing the NUFC contingent up to six now.
