We now know when Newcastle United will face Millwall.
The Carabao Cup third round match is an 8pm kick-off on Tuesday 8 September.
Newcastle United fans now awaiting news on ticket allocation for this first match against Millwall in over 30 years.
The last time The Den hosted a Carabao Cup match was on 26 August 2025.
A crowd of 7,048 there to see Millwall win 2-1 against Coventry City and progress to the third round of the Carabao Cup last season.
I have had a look back and this is what the official Millwall site announced on ticket prices ahead of that Coventry game a year ago:
‘Millwall host Coventry City in the Second Round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday 26th August (kick-off 7.45pm) – and tickets are now on general sale. Season ticket holders’ seats are priced at £12 adults, £10 over 64s, £10 18-21s, and £5 under 18s. Any extra tickets purchased/general sale tickets are priced at £17 adults, £14 over 64s, £14 18-21s and £8 under 18s. Only the Lower Tiers within the Barry Kitchener, Cold Blow Lane and Dockers Stands will be open for this fixture.’
Moving forward 12 months and Millwall now have their first home Carabao Cup match since that Coventry one.
Millwall now making this announcement on ticket prices for the Newcastle United match:

Season ticket holders’ seats are priced at £26 adults, £21 over 65s, £21 18-21, £16 under 18s, and £11 under 14s.
Tickets will go on sale to members from 2.15pm on Wednesday 2nd September, who can purchase one ticket. Tickets are priced at £31 adults, £26 over 65s, £26 18-21, £21 under 18s and £16 under 14s.

So Millwall more than doubling the price of tickets for Newcastle United visiting, compared to when 7,048 turned up for the Coventry Carabao Cup game.
