Looking at this Newcastle United team v Millwall.
Matthias Jaissle having made an excellent start to his NUFC career.
Only starting work a month ago, the new Newcastle United boss having overseen two wins and two draws in his opening four competitive United matches.
A draw against Liverpool at St James’ Park and then a win over West Brom on Tyneside in the Carabao Cup.
Then that excellent 2-0 victory away at Spurs.
Saturday then saw a gutsy comeback from 2-0 down to get a draw against Bournemouth.
Matthias Jaissle’s side now aiming to make it through to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup when taking on Millwall this Tuesday night.
As a reminder, this was the Newcastle team v Bournemouth and subs bench last weekend:
Hornicek, Dedic, Thiaw, Botman, Hall, Lewis Miley, Gonzalez, Elanga, Barnes, Willock, Wissa
Subs:
Pope, Livramento, Schar, Bamba, Steur, Toure, Murphy, Ramsey, Fernandez-Pardo
It looks like Osula, Burn and Joelinton will all be missing once again.
I can see plenty of changes though for this cup match, after such a busy start to the season.
So in my opinion….
This is my predicted Newcastle United team v Millwall:
Pope, Livramento, Schar, Botman, Hall, Steur, Gonzalez, Ramsey, Toure, Fernandez-Pardo, Murphy
As you can see, I have gone for eight changes.
With only Botman, Hall and Gonzalez starting again, three days after the Bournemouth game.
