Newcastle United are now interested in signing Amar Dedić
An exclusive from journalist SamC revealing the interest.
This has now been also reported by other media.
Amar Dedic is a right-back who currently plays for Benfica.
He transferred from RB Salzburg only last summer and made 34 appearances across the 2025/26 season.
The transfer fee a year ago was reported as around the £8m mark, now a transfer fee of around £25m+ is speculated.
Amar Didic was born in Austria but already has over 30 senior caps for Bosnia-Herzegovina and played for them in this summer’s World Cup finals.
It is no secret that Newcastle United are looking to strengthen the full-back positions with the likes of Trippier, Krafth and Targett all leaving.
Amar Dedic joined RB Salzburg at the age of 12 and played under new Newcastle United boss Matthias Jaissle.
The right-back turns 24 on Tuesday and interesting to see if this transfer story ends up having real substance.
