Really cruel luck for Lewis Miley.
An official Newcastle United announcement on Tuesday revealing a new injury.
The club saying that Lewis Miley has fractured his fibula.
The official statement making public that: “The 20-year-old midfielder sustained the injury to his lower right leg during training on Tuesday.”
Newcastle United then adding: “He will travel to a specialist consultant on Wednesday before continuing his rehabilitation with the club’s medical team and is expected to return for the start of pre-season.”
With Tino Livramento out injured and Kieran Trippier set to leave at the end of the season, Lewis Miley has once again been filling in at right-back in recent matches.
He was excellent at Arsenal and on Saturday put in a really good shift again against Brighton.
Cruel timing as well in that Lewis Miley turned 20 on Friday, played in the win on Saturday and now breaks his leg on Tuesday.
I suppose on the other hand, so long as his recovery goes as the club indicate it will, then Miley will only miss three competitive matches.
Best of luck to the 20-year-old on bouncing back from this latest injury.
