Jurgen Klopp has named his first ever Germany Squad.
Actually two squads, more on that in a moment.
Jurgen Klopp was announced as the new manager of Germany on Friday 24 July 2026.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool boss returning to management.
Jurgen Klopp agreeing to take the Germany job, afterJurgen Nagelsmann offered his resignation earlier that month.
This following a really poor 2026 World Cup campaign for Germany. They hammered Curacao 7-1 in their opening group match but looked poor in the following three games. Germany never looked convincing and against a limited Paraguay side in their last 32 clash, deservedly going out on penalties.
Jurgen Klopp has four internationals coming up, all of them Nations League matches:
24 September – Netherlands v Germany
27 September – Germany v Greece
1 October – Germany v Serbia
4 October – Greece v Germany
Jurgen Klopp naming 44 players in total!
He has named two separate squads, one for the Netherlands away game and Greece at home. The second squad is for Serbia at home and Greece away. Although there are some players who could potentially be there for the full couple of weeks and all four matches.
