Four Newcastle United players had their international teams in action on Saturday.

Some very mixed fortunes for the United quartet.

At the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara it ended Ivory Coast 0 Cameroon 1.

Newcastle’s 20-year-old winger Bazoumana Toure played the opening 61 minutes of this friendly defeat. The important stuff already done as Ivory Coast had won their two AFCON qualifiers, with the NUFC star having played a key role in the late 2-0 victory over Somalia on Tuesday.

It ended Spain 3 Czech Republic 1 at the Estadio Municipal Carlos Tartiere yesterday.

Lukas Hornicek sitting out this Nations League defeat as the head coach shares out the matches around his goalkeepers, this time Tottenham’s Kinsky in nets.

Croatia fans banned due to misbehaviour and only 100 England fans allowed in to watch Croatia 0 England 7, as well as 6,000 schoolchildren allowed free entry. Lewis Hall putting in another excellent performance as the England team demolished Croatia in this Nations League clash, the NUFC star going off with just over ten minutes to go and at the time England six goals up.

United keeper Ewen Jaouen left the France Under 21s squad early due to a training injury, having played the first two matches of this international break.

Aladji Bamba playing the first 80 minutes though of this European Championship qualifier victory as it ended France U21s 3 v Luxembourg U21s 2, the 20-year-old Newcastle midfielder one of three players subbed off for the final ten minutes. The score 3-2 when the trio departed.

Ivory Coast battered Somalia but it wasn’t until the 89th minute when the Newcastle winger opened them up and Gboho scored when Toure’s cross could only be blocked. The United star then grabbing a goal of his own when a shot came back off the post and he smashed the rebound into the roof of the net.

Czech Republic 0 England 2

Lewis Hall outstanding in this victory against a Czech side that were a man down after 25 minutes. Anthony Gordon just pipped this United star to the man of the match award as they combined superbly down the left side. Less said about most of their teammates the better! Newcastle’s Lukas Hornicek watching this Nations League clash from the bench.

A very convincing win for Belgium but Matias Fernandez-Pardo not named in the matchday squad. However, the media in Belgium reporting that there were no injury concerns and simply the Newcastle player one of a handful of players left out due to the fact that you’re only allowed to name a maximum of 23 players for a Nations League game.

Slovenia U21s 2 Netherlands U21s 4
