Great to hear this very positive update on these three injured Newcastle United stars who have been badly missed.

This media exclusive coming as Eddie Howe and his squad are at the business end of the season.

The update on the Newcastle United trio comes from Craig Hope of The Mail.

His information is that media reports from Brazil in February were wide of the mark on Bruno Guimaraes.

Those reports had claimed late April would be the likely return to action for the inspirational United captain.

However, the man from The Mail says that the word from inside the United camp is that Bruno Guimaraes could potentially be available for a Champions League quarter-final first leg, if Newcastle make it past Barcelona.

The Champions League quarter-finals will be played on Tuesday 7 April and Wednesday 8 April.

Whilst if United don’t make it through, their next match after this international break would be Palace away on Saturday 11 April, in the Premier League.

It could be set to be a double welcome return, as this report from The Mail states that Fabian Schar is also on schedule to return that same week as Bruno. The report detailing: ‘The defender returned to the grass this week and there are said to be no ill-effects following successful surgery. It means both Guimaraes and Schar should be available for the final seven matches of the Premier League campaign.’

Ahead of that, The Mail add that Lewis Miley is on schedule to return to availability for the Barcelona match next Wednesday. If all goes well in training, then it would be a very welcome return for the teenager.

If there are no setbacks, this would mean that after the international break it would leave only Emil Krafth unavailable, his season now over after having had surgery on his knee.
