Some very special comments from Sunderland fans after Bruno Guimaraes goal and celebration

Very amusing, arguments raging amongst Sunderland fans after former Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes scored for Arsenal and then celebrated.

Some pretty special comments as well as the odd voice of reason.

Midweek had seen large parts of the Stadium of Light closed for their Carabao Cup game but twice as many Sunderland fans bothered to turn up to see Bruno Guimaraes score a brilliant goal to set Arsenal on their way to what in the end was a comfortable 2-0 victory.

Sunderland fans reacting to Bruno Guimaraes scoring the key Arsenal opening goal and his celebrations that followed, comments via their RTG message board:

‘Almost everything Bruno Guimaraes does on the pitch is to say “look at me, I really care about the current club that are paying me”.’

‘Other than Shearer, I’ve never wanted a player to have a career ending injury more’

‘Bruno got some stick before the match tbf’

‘Panders to a club he jumped from as soon as he could and their fans lap it up.’

‘Ah it’s fair enough. Part and parcel of it that.

Welbeck still gives the Mags a bit when he scores against them.’

‘Nah it’s weird. We like Welbeck. He came for a year as planned and left on good terms. Guinares has been hounded as a rat all summer by the Mags but now he’s playing up to it. Fair play he knows how stupid they are.’

‘I just think it’s funny. Newcastle fans been calling him a rat all summer. He forced his way out the club. He’s made them weaker. But he scores against Sunderland and plays up to them and suddenly all is forgotten and he’s a hero for them again?’

‘He’s flavour of the month again with the daft lot up the road.

What a strange bunch of idiots that lot are.’

It is sad that a professional footballer has the need to be loved all the time.

It is obvious what he does and the Mags fall for it every time.’
