Fabian Hurzeler watched on as his team lost 3-1 against Newcastle United.
William Osula and Dan Burn putting United 2-0 up at the break.
Then Hinshelwood pulled one back just after the hour mark but Harvey Barnes added another for Newcastle United in added time.
Fabian Hurzeler saying after the final whistle: “When we focus on the performance, I don’t see a lot of teams dominating here in this way, like we did. We will take the positives in this way, we will take responsibility for this defeat. We will analyse it because certain key moments wasn’t our standard we want to reach. We have to show personality, character and then we try to bounce back.”
Brighton were the Premier League form team, with six wins, a draw and just the one defeat in their last eight Premier League matches.
Indeed, you had to go back to 11 February for the last time Brighton had lost away from home in the league.
Fabian Hurzeler not taking defeat well…“We dominated the game. We started well, we had two big chances, Newcastle scored out of nowhere. Then the second goal is a set-piece where we lost a little bit our structure. But overall we created plenty of chances. We always had the feeling we can win this game because we created so much. You shouldn’t concede so easily the goals. We weren’t able to manage the small margins, the key moments of the game, well. On the other side, you can also say we created so many chances that we have to be more ruthless in a certain way.”
