A Premier League official announcement has confirmed the players in the 25 man senior Newcastle United Premier League squad.
After the 2026 summer transfer window closed, all 20 Premier League clubs had to supply the EPL with an official senior 25 man squad for the first half of the 2026/27 league campaign.
These then will be the only senior Newcastle United players allowed to play in the Premier League in the first half of the season until the January 2027 transfer window when changes can be made.
In the case of this latest senior Premier League squad, Newcastle United have only named 19 players in total (see the list below), three of them are goalkeepers and 16 outfield players. One of the goalkeepers named is Nick Pope and Matthias Jaissle said earlier today that the England international could still leave, potentially joining a club in a league where their summer window hasn’t closed yet.
As a bonus, you have those who count extra as Under 21s and can also play for the first team in the league this season. For the 2026/27 campaign, a Premier League Under 21 player is classified as anyone born on or after January 1, 2005.
Whilst Newcastle United have only named 19 senior players in their 2026/27 Premier League squad, they have named an astonish 60 (SIXTY) Under 21 players, as listed below.
A fair number of these Under 21 players have been signed this summer, including Ewen Jaouen, Sean Steur, Aladji Bamba, Bazoumana Toure, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Ousmane Diabate, Kyran Thompson, Christian Boothe, Kyle Healy-Matthews and Afner Ca.
