The Newcastle United Head Coach and Sporting Director have given their reaction after Lewis Hall signed a long-term deal for NUFC.
An official announcement on Friday morning revealing the news.
Lifelong United fan Lewis Hall had been contracted up to the end of June 2029.
Newcastle United announcing on Friday a new “long-term” enhanced and extended contract had been signed.
As usual the club not specifying the number of years but the more reliable NUFC journalists stating it is a five year deal and will take Lewis Hall up to the end of June 2031.
The Newcastle United Head Coach saying: “”I have been impressed with Lewis since I arrived. He is a very important player for us and for what we are building here, so this is exciting news. The combination of his ability and his profile make him an ideal fit for our squad, and his mentality is exactly what you want in a young player. He wants to learn every day and he wants to be better in every match.”
Matthias Jaissle adding: “Lewis covers ground in a way that few players can. He defends with maturity and intelligence, and his technical level means he can support the team higher up the pitch. What excites me most is that I believe the best is still to come from Lewis. He has a lot of room to develop, and I am looking forward to working with him as he grows with us.”
The England left-back signing this new long-term contract follows on from Harvey Barnes and Lewis Miley having also both agreed new longer-term deals.
