It is now reported that Newcastle United are set to sign Kyle Healy-Matthews.

The highly rated West Ham United starlet to move to St James’ Park.

Kyle Healy-Matthews is an exciting prospect that the Hammers have been desperate not to lose.

A number of Premier League clubs have been competing to sign the teenage right-back.

Now the Secret Scout site has reported that Newcastle United are set to win the battle and sign the young player who will turn 17 in November.

Obviously one for the future but this looks a very positive addition to the Newcastle United Academy set-up.

Kyle Healy-Matthews initially looking set to be part of the NUFC Under 18s.

The young right-back reported to be quick and with very good defensive ability, a stand out player in the West Ham young set-up.

Since the October 2021 takeover, Newcastle United have signed a lot of promising young players from other clubs, which will hopefully pay longer-term benefits.

Leo Shahar looks set to be one of the most likely of these to now get closer to minutes for the first team, having regularly trained with the senior squad last season.
