The FA Cup sixth round draw was made on Monday night.
With nine clubs and four ties.
Some interesting match-ups…

The draw made before West Ham and Brentford played each other on Monday night, an entertaining match that ended 2-2, then no more goals in extra-time. It then going to penalties and all the spot-kicks scored apart from a feeble ‘Panenka’ from Ouattara that was easily saved and knocked the Bees out.
The FA Cup fourth round ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday 4 April 2026.

Well, it could have been a lot worse…
From a Newcastle United perspective, I was assuming just our luck, that if we had got through it would have been Southampton at home.
I had to smile instead when I saw Manchester City matched up with Liverpool!
It would have all been very much like the route to last season’s Carabao Cup triumph, when Newcastle United had to defeat Forest, Chelsea, Brentford, Arsenal (twice!), Liverpool and AFC Wimbledon of course.
This season in the FA Cup, Newcastle United’s route seeing them having to get past Bournemouth, Villa, Man City, Liverpool and then no doubt Chelsea and Arsenal!
I think it yet again makes a mockery of the claims that the richest and most powerful clubs aren’t bothered about the domestic cups.
The FA Cup semi-finalists will almost certainly be Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City or Liverpool, then West Ham or Leeds the team that I will be hoping can upset the usual suspects.
The weekend dates of when the remaining FA Cup rounds will be played:
Quarter Final: Saturday 4 April 2026
Semi-Final: Saturday 25 April 2026
The Final: Saturday 16 May 2026
