Marco Rose is the latest Premier League managerial appointment.
Bournemouth confirming that he will be replacing Andoni Iraola.
The Cherries officially announcing: ‘AFC Bournemouth is delighted to confirm the appointment of Marco Rose as the club’s new head coach on a three-year contract, which will begin following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.’
The 49 year old German manager has previously managed Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig.
The official Bournemouth release going on to say: ‘The club’s immediate focus remains firmly on finishing the current campaign as strongly as possible, with the players and staff continuing to show full commitment to achieving positive results and building on the current 13-game unbeaten run. Everyone at AFC Bournemouth looks forward to welcoming Marco to Vitality Stadium as he begins his role as head coach in the summer.’
The Marco Rose confirmation for Bournemouth has sparked further Newcastle United speculation.
Rose has been without a job these past 13 months, after getting the boot at RB Leipzig back in March 2025.
As a free agent, seemingly no reason why Marco Rose couldn’t start at Bournemouth with immediate effect.
The speculation then increasing, the reasoning, that if indeed Newcastle United were to intend making a managerial change for next season, then if Andoni Iraola was to be their target as a potential Eddie Howe replacement, why not get things moving now?
