The question we were asking fans on Sunday was: Where do you predict Newcastle United will finish in the 2026/27 Premier League table?

Hand on heart, which place do you think Newcastle United will end up in, after the final round of matches on Sunday 30 May 2027?

The last four seasons have seen Eddie Howe and his players finish the season in 4th, 7th, 5th and 12th places.

No European distractions this time.

Eddie Howe and the Newcastle United players having the 38 Premier League matches to contend with, plus the two domestic cup competitions.

So the big question is, in 12 months time, where do you predict United will have finished in the 2026/27 Premier League season?

Our thanks to all who voted and here is the collective result from Newcastle United fans on how they think NUFC will do next season (percentages rounded up or down to nearest whole number):

1st – 2%
2nd – 1%
3rd – 2%
4th – 4%
5th – 8%
6th – 13%
7th – 13%
8th – 13%
9th – 6%
10th – 8%
11th – 3%
12th – 4%
13th – 2%
14th – 4%
15th – 4%
16th – 3%
17th – 4%
18th – 3%
19th – 1%
20th – 1%

Conclusions

As you can see, a real spread of opinion, from the very top to the very bottom…

However, over half (53%) see Newcastle United finishing somewhere between fifth and ninth.

When that is extended slightly to finishing between fourth and tenth, it becomes 65% of the Newcastle United fans who voted, around two-thirds of them.

Taking all the votes overall, they average out at a finishing position of around seventh or eighth.

With now Sandro Tonali leaving and Bazoumana Toure arriving in the last 24 hours, interesting to see whether what happens in the rest of this transfer window significantly influence the views of the NUFC fanbase, one way or the other.
