Wolves explain why they signed young rising Newcastle United star Sean Neave

Wednesday morning saw Newcastle United confirm that Sean Neave had indeed completed a loan move to Wolves.

When the 11pm Tuesday night deadline had passed with no news, fans had assumed the deal hadn’t gone through.

Sean Neave joins former Newcastle United players Adam Armstrong and Kieran Trippier at Molineux.

The exciting young striker from Winlaton now with a great opportunity to impress at a high level, if earning a decent number of minutes on the pitch for a Wolves side pushing for promotion.

The opening five games of the season in league and Carabao Cup had brought four wins and a draw, although a knock on Tuesday night when losing 4-2 at West Ham.

Wolves have now explained why they’ve signed the exciting young Newcastle United forward.

Wolves Executive Chairman Nathan Shi: “Sean is a talented player who Cesar and Matt both spoke to and were impressed by, and we believe he has a lot of potential to be successful with us. We are delighted to welcome him to Wolves, and he will have the full support of us all. We already have a lot of experience in that department with Raul and Adam, and we think signing a younger profile in Sean complements the group well for what we know will be a long and challenging Championship season.”
