Time to reflect as Newcastle United head into this international break ahead of three of the Premier League Big Six.
United not in action again until Monday 12 October when Matthias Jaissle and his players visit Coventry City.
The fifth round of Premier League matches has produced some intriguing results.
Newcastle United winning 2-1 at St James’ Park against a previously unbeaten Hull City obviously the most important.
Plenty of other matches catching the eye though when it comes to results AND where it leaves the various clubs placed in the Premier League table as we enter three weeks of international break.

Also, the other day I was talking to a Mackem acquaintance who asked me about “Newcastle United’s really poor start to the season”, I suppose it is a bit disappointing to have only double the points Sunderland have at this early stage of the season with them one point above the relegation zone.
Who knows what lies ahead this season for Newcastle United BUT a case of job done so far when you consider the horrendous injury list and a summer that saw an incredible amount of changes on and off the pitch.
