Interesting now to look at the Newcastle United contracts situation after Wednesday’s signing of Ewen Jaouen.
A busy summer ahead hopefully, with United expected to be active in the transfer market.
Ewen Jaouen set to be the first of a fair few incomings.
We are now getting a far better idea of where things stand with in terms of players who were contracted to the club in 2025/26.
Where we are now in terms of Newcastle United contracts.
Last week saw Fabian Schar sign a new deal, instead of his deal set to end on 30 June 2026, extended to 30 June 2027.
Anthony Gordon was of course sold to Barcelona on Friday for around £70m. With Kieran Trippier, John Ruddy, Matt Targett, Emil Krafth and Aaron Ramsdale also leaving.
As you can see below, not the biggest Newcastle United first team squad that is left after these departures.
No official mention regarding Harrison Ashby but he has been contracted to the club for three and a half years now and even if his contract has got another year to run, difficult to see him getting any first team action next season for Newcastle United.
On Wednesday the club announced that Ewen Jaouen had been signed on a long-term deal but across the media it is reported as a four-year contract, so he has been added as that below. Though no surprise if in reality it will turn out to be a four-year contract but with Newcastle United having the unilateral option of adding another year.

This is how Newcastle United contracts currently look (via official club releases and media reports), when current deals are up. Best viewed in landscape mode on mobile.
* Sandro Tonali: Base contract until June 2029; club holds a unilateral trigger to extend until June 2030.
Hopefully Ewen Jaouen only the first of a number of early summer progressive signings.
