More Premier League players than ever before will be at the World Cup this summer.

The official Premier League site has listed 183 different players.

The criteria the official EPL site has used is: ‘Based on their contracted club for the 2025/26 campaign and those who are registered to play for Premier League clubs in the 2026/27 season.’

So they have stretched it a bit, as in total there are 23 clubs, including the three that have just been relegated AND the three promoted ones.

It also of course means that those Premier League players who have agreed moves to clubs/league elsewhere, such as Anthony Gordon, are still included.

Also worth noting as well, there are more countries (48) and more players (1,248) at this 2026 World Cup in total, than there have been at any previous tournament.
