Looking at these Premier League fixtures on Saturday, in this latest round of matches.
Seeing the other games from a Newcastle United perspective.
Eddie Howe and his players not playing until High Noon on Sunday, against the Mackems.
Four Premier League fixtures today.
As a Newcastle United fan, have a look at these four Premier League fixtures today and have a think about what you’d like to happen and what is most likely in terms of results.
Before that though, let’s have a quick look at the table before any of these Premier League fixtures are played on Saturday.
Premier League table on the morning of Saturday 21 March 2026
Not the worst start to the Premier League fixtures on Friday night. Man U twice taking the lead and both times Bournemouth equalising. Only a point for Man U and it keeps Bournemouth below Newcastle.
My conclusions and predictions on Saturday’s matches
Brighton v Liverpool (12.30pm)
Brighton with three wins in their last four PL matches and the defeat was a 1-0 against league leaders Arsenal.
Apart from that Arsenal one, Brighton have only lost one other home PL match these past three and a half months.
Liverpool got really lucky drawing Galatasaray in the Champions League last 16 but in the Premier League they were lucky to get a 1-1 draw at home to Spurs, then before that lost at rock bottom Wolves.
With only four wins in their last 12 PL games, the odds very much against Liverpool here.
I think they will get a draw at best and obviously great news for Newcastle if Brighton win.
Fulham v Burnley (3pm)
Burnley have won only one of their last 21 PL matches but have shown some spirit recently, avoiding defeat in six of their last 10.
Fulham have won two and drawn one of their last four PL games, losing at home though to West Ham in the other.
You would have to back Fulham as most likely winners but I think some hope Burnley can get a draw, which would keep Fulham below Newcastle.
Everton v Chelsea (5.30pm)
Chelsea look like they could be imploding, their last seven matches in the Premier League and Champions League they have lost four and won only one.
Everton have lost only three of their last ten PL matches and I don’t think they will lose today.
I suppose it comes down to whether as Newcastle fans we would prefer a draw or Everton win. For me it has to be an Everton win as the preferred result, then a win for Newcastle against Sunderland would mean United only a point behind Everton and three adrift of Chelsea.
I think a draw most likely though.
Leeds v Brentford (8pm)
Leeds have won only four of their last 17 Premier League matches but at the same time, they have only lost four of these last 17.
Brentford have done so well BUT I think clear signs of their energy levels now dipping as the season reaches the key stage, only one win in their last five and that was against all but relegated Burnley.
I think a draw is the most likely result but Leeds are better at home and could well win this one. if doing so, Newcastle could potentially go above Brentford with a win tomorrow.
