Gianni Infantino World Cup heist plan blocked but you can’t now leave the Fox in the Henhouse

FIFA President Gianni Infantino followed up his outrageous actions in and around the 2026 World Cup, with a plan that was beyond outrageous.

This was the ultimate, a despicable plan that would see a smash and grab heist on all future World Cups.

Gianni Infantino wanting to enrich a lot of people, including/especially numerous individuals linked to his mate Donald Trump.

We thought that the FIFA barrel has been well and truly scraped with Sepp Blatter in charge, only for us to find out that the surface had hardly been scratched until this reign of Gianni Infantino.

To try and railroad his laughable plan through, Infantino was basically promising money for votes. All of the FAs/Nations around the globe who backed the plan by a certain date would each be guaranteed millions FIFA funds.

This ultimate cunning stunt from Gianni Infantino was so off the scale that finally many of those who had shamelessly failed to challenge any of his appalling previous behaviour, were now left with little choice but to take action.

The UEFA nations coming out against the World Cup heist, CONCACAF nations as well, then others also.

Such was the level of public opposition, despite at first insisting he was going ahead regardless, even Gianni Infantino then finally admitted defeat.

Emboldened by this, on Saturday morning UEFA released an official statement, declaring a loss of confidence in Gianni Infantino as FIFA president.

It had only taken then a decade of Infantino in charge but better late than never.

Even the English FA have now stepped up, a spokesperson on Saturday following up that UEFA declaration with:

“We fully support UEFA’s position. It is time for a full and robust review of FIFA’s leadership and governance to ensure that the global game is run transparently, for the benefit of all 211 member nations and with the long – term stewardship of football at its heart.”

Gianni Infantino should of course simply resign now.

People like him though have shame, no doubt he will still stand when the next FIFA Presidential elections take place in March 2027.

They need to get the Fox out of the Henhouse ASAP.

Every day Gianni Infantino continues as FIFA President is a further stain on the organisation’s (all but non-existent) credibility.
