Four rounds of Premier League matches still to go.

The Seagulls are sixth top, eight places and eight points ahead of the Magpies.

Eddie Howe and Newcastle United looking to bounce back from a run of four Premier League defeats and head into the summer with some confidence and momentum restored.

Harry Redknapp commenting on the situation surrounding NUFC and Eddie Howe: “With each passing week, it feels like the games are getting bigger for Newcastle. It’s just not happening for them right now and their season is just fizzling out. It’s easy to say now, but the summer recruitment really hasn’t worked out.”

Eddie Howe and Newcastle United need to get the win, not just to eliminate any faint chance of relegation trouble, but also give themselves and the fans an essential lift.

On their performances, I don’t think Newcastle United have deserved to lose any of their last four Premier League matches that they have all lost by a one goal margin. Not that I believe NUFC deserved to win any of them either! Against Sunderland, Palace, Bournemouth and Arsenal, they could have all ended in draws, only for United to find a way to lose each and every one of them.

There were some positive signs against Arsenal and Bruno Guimaraes made a huge difference, he will be fitter again this week after that first start after injury and with Joelinton (back from suspension) and Anthony Gordon (back training after injury) set to seemingly be available as well, Eddie Howe with a stronger set of options available for this one.

Harry Redknapp speaking to BetVictor about the visitors: “Brighton have been in good form and are still targeting a European spot. In fact, they’re probably the form team in the league right now! I’m picking the draw. One to watch – It has to be Danny Welbeck, he’s had an amazing season.”

Brighton have won six and drawn one of their last eight PL matches, losing only to Arsenal. This will be tough.

Predicting a 1-1 draw and Danny Welbeck to threaten isn’t surprise, Welbeck scored in both the Brighton league and FA Cup wins at St James’ Park last season and now aged 35, the striker has scored 13 goals in 22 Premier League starts (and 11 sub appearances).

Hopefully it will be a case of far more goal threat at the other end of the pitch, as Newcastle United desperately need to get back to scoring 2+ goals per match to get them having a chance of better results in these last four games.
