Newcastle United are to play Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, the French club that the Chelsea owners also control.
The pre-season friendly is a 4pm kick-off on Sunday 16 August.
This final friendly is exactly a week before the opening Premier League match against Liverpool.
As usual, Newcastle United ending pre-season with St James’ Park friendlies on consecutive days.
It is a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 15 August against Bayer Leverkusen.
With Sela having ended their front-of-shirt sponsorship, the friendlies are now branded the ‘VisitMalta Weekender 2026’ at St James’ Park.
The Newcastle United Women’s team will play a match (1pm) on the Sunday against Italian Serie A Femminile outfit Inter Women at SJP, in advance of the Strasbourg game.
