The question we were asking on Monday was: ‘Which 10 Newcastle United players are essential to keep for the 2026/27 season?’
If you could only keep ten of the current NUFC playing staff to still be at St James’ Park when next season kicks off, who would they be?
Yes, the 2025/26 season still has 19 days to go, but less than six weeks until the transfer window opens on Monday 15 June 2026.
Matt Targett and Kieran Trippier have already confirmed that they won’t still be Newcastle United players when the 2026/27 season kicks off, so we didn’t include them in the options to vote on.
However, Fabian Schar was included, although as things stand his current NUFC contract will end on 30 June 2026.
So, which current Newcastle United players do you see as the essential ones that need to be kept at St James’ Park?
