NEWCASTLE RESCUE A POINT — BUT THAT WAS FAR FROM CONVINCING! 😬
Newcastle United remain unbeaten under Matthias Jaissle, but the Magpies had to battle back from 2-0 down to rescue a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at St James' Park.
Bournemouth took the lead through Marcus Tavernier before things got even worse when Malick Thiaw's own goal doubled the visitors' advantage.
Thankfully, Harvey Barnes responded almost immediately to drag Newcastle back into the game before half-time. Then, with time running out, substitute Jacob Ramsey struck in the 88th minute to rescue a point for the Toon!
It was also a big afternoon for Deadline Day signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who came off the bench to make his Newcastle United debut.
But despite the comeback, there are plenty of questions to ask after that performance.
