Newcastle United are determined sign more youth prospects, but not every player who arrives will blossom into a senior star.
Antonio Cordero is going to join Newcastle this summer, with Toon officials having a lot of faith in the Spaniard.
The same goes for Vakhtang Salia, who is also set to become a Newcastle United player.
Paul Mitchell will hope they eventually emerge as first-team stars at St Jamesâ Park, as they buy into the Newcastle United project.
Garang Kuol addresses his Newcastle United future
All the while, Garang Kuol is pondering his Newcastle future after arriving at the club from Central Coast Mariners in January 2023.
The Australia international joined as a wonderkid, with Dan Ashworth securing his signature.

Since arriving, Kuol is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for the club. He has endured two woeful loan spells, while the 20-year-old has spent the 2024/25 season excelling for the Magpiesâ Under-21s side.
However, Kuol has told ESPN that he wants to be playing first-team football somewhere next season.
âThe most important thing for me is to be able to play [senior] football,â he said.
âIt wonât be that easy to jump from the under-21s at Newcastle to a first team squad which could be in the Champions League.
âFor the summer, Iâm not really sure whatâs going to happen in terms of my next move. But Iâd say [senior] football is the ultimate goal.â
When Garang Kuolâs Newcastle United contract expires
As Kuol says, it is going to be difficult for him to get first-team football in a Newcastle United shirt next season. It will be even more difficult if Eddie Howeâs side qualify for the Champions League.
Therefore, it looks like Kuol will be seeking a loan move â or possibly even a permanent exit. That may depend on how Newcastle United feel about Kuol and his future prospects.
Newcastle United Under-21s boss Diarmuid OâCarroll recently described Kuol as a âprojectâ to the Athletic, but it remains to be seen if the attacker is going to be good enough to have an impact in the Premier League.
That was the hope when he first arrived, but the hype has died down.
Kuolâs next move will also be influenced by his contract situation. His Newcastle United deal is due to expire in 2026. Therefore, it would make no sense to loan him out next season without offering him an extension. Otherwise they risk losing him on a free transfer.
But if Newcastle United do not believe that Kuol has a future on Tyneside then it would be wise to sell this summer.
Either way, it feels all but certain that he will not be playing for the Newcastle United Under-21s next season.
