Should Jason Tindall make any changes after beating Man United? 🤔

Newcastle United will be without Eddie Howe again when they face Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The Newcastle United manager was unable to be on the touchline for the win over Manchester United, and it has since been confirmed that Eddie Howe is suffering from pneumonia.

Everyone is wishing Howe a speedy recovery, as Jason Tindall prepares to take charge of the Magpies for the second consecutive game.

He will aim to make it six wins in a row, and this is Geordie Boot Boys’ predicted Newcastle United XI to face Crystal Palace.

No change at the back vs Crystal Palace

For the sixth game in a row, Newcastle United look likely to name the same goalkeeper and back four.

The Magpies do not have any fresh options, which means that a back four of Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Dan Burn and Tino Livramento will play in front of Nick Pope.

That will not concern fans, especially as Livramento is playing so well at left-back.

Newcastle will keep a close eye on Trippier’s condition, as the 34-year-old is having to play a lot of football in the absence of Lewis Hall. He was replaced by Emil Krafth in the 78th minute against Man United, but should start on Wednesday night.

Joelinton decision made amid suspension fears

The big fear going into the game against Crystal Palace is Joelinton risking a suspension.

The 28-year-old is one yellow card away from receiving a two-match ban, but his bookings will be wiped after facing the Eagles.

With that in mind, Jason Tindall may consider leaving out the Brazilian in order to protect him. However, that feels extremely likely.

Joelinton should start next to Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali in midfield, and Toon fans will have everything crossed that the £40million man is able to avoid a booking.

Anthony Gordon on the Newcastle bench

Anthony Gordon is fit once again, having returned to the bench for Newcastle’s win over Manchester United.

It is great to have the 24-year-old available once again, but it feels very likely that he will be a substitute for the game against Palace.

While Gordon is a superstar, Harvey Barnes is in the form of his Newcastle career. Meanwhile, Jacob Murphy continues to be influential on the right.

Therefore, it will be Barnes and Murphy who flank Alexander Isak once again.

Predicted XI vs Crystal Palace: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento; Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Barnes.
