Newcastle United are in trouble. But you don't need me to tell you that, you can see for yourself from the league table.

With 13 games to go, a lot can change. However, a betting man would pick Newcastle United to go down right now.

That's what TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O'Hara thinks, with the ex-Spurs midfielder tipping Fulham to find a way out of trouble.

Newcastle are gone. I think they are just completely dead on their feet, he said.

Callum Wilson being injured is a massive blow.

They've got no confidence. They don't seem like they can get a result.

It's an interesting change of tune from O'Hara, who was praising Bruce just before Christmas.

The most important thing for Newcastle right now is being in the Premier League and Steve Bruce is the man to do that, O'Hara said on TalkSPORT on December 24th.

What a difference two months makes…

The weird thing is, performances in the past few weeks have actually been better than they were before Christmas. So why the change of tune?

Obviously the injury to Wilson is the big issue, as we've no longer got a goal threat.

But even with Wilson we've looked poor. Before Graeme Jones came in, Newcastle were playing some of the worst football ever seen in the Premier League. They weren't even trying to win games.

Yet all the while we, as fans, were told that Bruce was doing an excellent job by the media and that Newcastle are fine.

So which is it, Mr O'Hara? Is Steve Bruce still the man to keep Newcastle in the Premier League, or is he taking us down? I think I know the answer.

And the fact that so many 'pundits' praised Bruce becomes all the more laughable with each passing game.
