Newcastle United striker William Osula is something of a cult hero amongst the fanbase.
Osula has barely featured for Newcastle United to any meaningful degree since joining from Sheffield United, albeit that’s not really his fault.
Eddie Howe has a certain Alexander Isak – widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world – up front, while Callum Wilson provides experienced cover. On the right wing, Jacob Murphy has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most devastating forwards this season.
Still, Osula has still made an impact. He scored a fine header in the win over Ipswich last month, while the 21-year-old was also front and centre of the post-Carabao Cup final celebrations back in March.
Newcastle rate Osula highly behind the scenes, even if first-team chances on a regular basis have been few and far between this season. Speaking to Sky Sports recently, sections of the Newcastle United squad let slip some more interesting insight.

Osula joined Wilson, Emil Krafth, Matt Targett and Tino Livramento at the Newcastle United training ground.
They were asked a series of questions, ranging from who was the fastest in the squad as well as who had the best haircut.
When asked to rank themselves on who “lost their head” in training, they all pointed at Osula.
In fact, Wilson even revealed Osula and Sean Longstaff are always arguing in training.
“You and Longy [Sean Longstaff] argue all the time,” he said.
“People tell you to shut up in training sometimes!”

It’s not the first time this week that the midfielder’s name has been mentioned in Newcastle interviews.
While Longstaff is expected to leave Newcastle this summer, it seems he makes a big impact behind the scenes.
Sandro Tonali thinks Longstaff is the most underrated player he’s ever played with and, having played for AC Milan as well as Italy, that’s certainly some statement indeed.
Should the Newcastle United academy graduate leave the club this summer, it seems the training ground will be a quieter place…
