Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has again been linked with a move to Arsenal.
After the Gunners crashed out of the Champions League, Newcastle United’s perhaps most prized asset of all was again touted as a target in north London.
Isak has never shown any outward desire to leave St James’ Park this summer. The Sweden international is under contract until the summer of 2028, so there is no pressing need to sell either.
Arsenal are interested in Isak, although fresh insight from The Independent sends Gunners supporters something of a reality check.

They claim that Mikel Arteta would “love” to sign the 25-year-old, who they suggest would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium.
However, it’s also said that the Gunners simply aren’t prepared to pay the at least £150million fee needed to sign the striker this summer.
Indeed, the report suggests that a move could only really happen if Isak was pushing to leave Newcastle, which doesn’t look likely to happen at this stage.

How much is Alexander Isak worth and will he leave Newcastle United this summer?
Newcastle value Isak at over £150million and, given his contractual status, they are in a very strong bargaining position.
The forward has scored 62 goals in 106 games for the club, establishing himself as one of the best strikers in the world.
Indeed, it seems Toon fans can relax even amid all the speculation.
Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has told Newcastle executives not to sell Isak this summer. Even if teams could afford him, there’s a clear message from above that he simply won’t be going anywhere.
Frankly, everything is currently pointing towards Isak staying at Newcastle United this summer.
Hopefully, his goals will have fired the club back into the Champions League too.
