Tino Livramento says he’s in a good place at Newcastle United.

Following the departure of Alexander Isak in September, Livramento is arguably Newcastle United’s most valuable player.

Sandro Tonali may have something to say about that but it is surely a battle between those two at this stage.

Indeed, Livramento has a transformative impact on Eddie Howe’s side. His recent return from injury has led to a major upturn in performances.

Such is the level of his talent, the likes of Manchester City have been interested in signing Livramento.

However, the England international appears happy at St James’ Park.

Tino Livramento says he loves playing for Newcastle United

On Monday, Premier League reporter Andy Sixsmith posted some snippets from an interview he’s conducted with Livramento and fellow full-back star Lewis Hall on social media platform X.

Arsenal have recently been linked with Livramento and speculation over his future will likely grow the closer football gets to the summer transfer window.

A player of his stature is likely to only attract a growing list of suitors, with Manchester United also credited with an interest of late.

What do you make of Tino Livramento’s comments when asked about his Newcastle United future?

“I’m in a position where I’m trusted by the manager, the players – I feel loved by the fans too. I love pulling on the black and white shirt.”

However, when asked how long he wanted to stay at Newcastle, Livramento confirmed he was loving life at the club

“I’m in a position where I’m trusted by the manager, the players – I feel loved by the fans too,” he said. “I love pulling on the black and white shirt.”

It is interesting that he didn’t exactly name a length of time but it would be unfair to expect a player to.

Things can change very quickly in football, after all.

Newcastle United’s plans to keep Tino Livramento have already been launched

Geordie Boot Boys understand that Newcastle have already held talks with Livramento over a new contract.

The 23-year-old’s current deal isn’t set to expire until the summer of 2028 but the club cannot afford to rest on their laurels.

Isak also had three years left remaining on his deal but he eventually managed to force a move to Liverpool.

Clearly, there’s absolutely no suggestion that Livramento would behave like Isak did, but the Sweden star’s saga proved that merely having years left on a contract isn’t a guarantee of keeping that particular player.

Stars like Livramento have to be rewarded and, hopefully, Newcastle do exactly that.
