Newcastle United take on West Ham United on Sunday, which will see Eddie Howe reunite with Callum Wilson.
Callum Wilson spent five years at Newcastle United, signing from Bournemouth in 2020 for ÂŁ20m after suffering relegation with Eddie Howe.
The striker became an instant hero at St. James’ Park thanks to his clinical finishing in front of goal.
Wilson and Howe eventually joined forces again at Newcastle when the Toon boss was hired to replace Steve Bruce in November 2021 following the PIF takeover.
The striker remained a key player in Howe’s initial seasons in the hot seat, but the arrival of Alexander Isak and mounting injury problems began to reduce his game time.
Wilson left the club upon the expiration of his contract in the summer with 49 goals to his name. He signed for West Ham on a free transfer and will come up against his former club for the first time on Sunday.
Howe can’t wait to see him.

Eddie Howe will embrace Callum Wilson after West Ham fixture
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, in which a positive Lewis Hall update was given, Howe revealed he is excited to reunite with Wilson.
He said: “It will be great to see Callum but, most importantly, we have a job to do against him.
“I have spoken about how much quality he has, and I am looking forward to seeing him and embracing him after the game, but we have a job to do first to stop him.”
Newcastle are hoping to make it four wins in a row at the London Stadium, with the game kicking off at 2pm.
