I have taken a look at the Premier League managers.
Looking at their longevity.
The 2025/26 season is ending on Sunday (24 May 2026) with seven of the 20 clubs not having the Premier League managers they started the campaign with.
When you add the fact that Pep Guardiola, Oliver Glasner and Andoni Iraola have already confirmed their impending departures, that will see half of the Premier League managers who started this 2025/26 season no longer at the same club.
Pep Guardiola is easily the longest serving Premier League manager at his club, set to now leave after a decade at Man City.
This is now the current position for permanent Premier League managers and their start dates – as at 24 May 2026
Pep Guardiola (Man City) 1 July 2016
Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) 22 December 2019
Marco Silva (Fulham) 1 July 2021
Eddie Howe (Newcastle United) 8 November 2021
Unai Emery (Villa) 1 November 2022
Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) 19 June 2023
Daniel Farke (Leeds) 4 July 2023
Oliver Glasner (Palace) 19 February 2024
Arne Slot (Liverpool) 1 June 2024
Regis Le Bris (Sunderland) 1 July 2024
Fabian Hurzeler (Brighton) 2 July 2024
David Moyes (Everton) 11 January 2025
Keith Andrews (Brentford) 27 June 2025
Nuno Espirito Santo (West Ham) 27 September 2025
Rob Edwards (Wolves) 12 November 2025
Vitor Pereira (Forest) 15 February 2026
Roberto De Zerbi (Spurs) 31 March 2026
Michael Carrick (Man Utd) 22 May 2026
No manager (Burnley)
No manager (Chelsea)
Marco Silva sees his Fulham contract come to an end this summer and has declined the chance so far to sign up for longer. He is widely expected to go to Benfica and replace Jose Mourinho who is joining Real Madrid.
Assuming Silva leaves, Eddie Howe will then only have Mikel Arteta ahead of him in terms of time in their current Premier League jobs.
With Arne Slot and Nuno also seeing their futures in doubt, it could end up an even more crazy twelve months or so of change when it comes to Premier League managers.
As for the three managers coming up to the Premier League for the 2026/27 season from the Championship:
Kieran McKenna (Ipswich) 16 December 2021
Frank Lampard (Coventry) 28 November 2024
Sergej Jakirovic (Hull) 11 June 2026
Assuming Marco Silva leaves Fulham, Kieran McKenna would move into third place behind Arteta and Howe.
