Newcastle United youngster Antonio Cordero has just been involved in a record-breaking win for the Spain U19s.
Cordero will officially become a Newcastle United player on July 1, arriving on a free transfer from Malaga.
Newcastle beat Barcelona and Real Madrid to sign Cordero, who is currently away with his country at youth level.
On Monday, the 18-year-old was involved in a record-breaking game at the 19 European Championships.
Indeed, Spain beat Germany 6-5 to book their place in Thursday’s final. It was the highest-scoring game in the history of the U19 Euros finals, and here’s how Cordero fared.

The clubs who want to sign Antonio Cordero on loan from Newcastle United
Newcastle plan to loan Cordero out next season in the next step of his development.
As such, Cordero has interest from clubs in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands, so it appears as if Newcastle will be spoilt for choice.
It’ll be fascinating to see what becomes of the teenager next season. Newcastle rate Cordero very highly, but expecting too much too soon would be a major mistake for a young player relatively untested outside of the Spanish second tier.
If the club get his next move right, Newcastle could have quite the player on their hands in the future.
