Bruno Guimaraes has delivered an incredible message to supporters after Newcastle United’s 4-3 win over Leeds United.

In the aftermath of the news that Kevin Keegan is battling cancer, the Magpies put in a performance befitting of the man himself.

Newcastle United beat Leeds 4-3 on Wednesday night, coming from behind for the first time this season to edge a seven-goal thriller. Eddie Howe’s side were not at their best, but their never-say-die attitude resulted in three points courtesy of Harvey Barnes’ 102nd minute winner.

INCREDIBLE! Where does that rank in the best wins you’ve ever seen at St James’ Park?

Barnes was the hero, but it was also another talismanic performance from Bruno Guimaraes. He provided the assist for Joelinton’s goal, scored a 91st minute penalty and put the ball in that resulted in Barnes’ decisive strike.

The Brazilian midfielder was overjoyed after the full-time whistle, and has since taken to social media to send a message to the Toon Army.

Newcastle United respond after Bruno Guimaraes questions mentality

For the first time in the Premier League this season, Newcastle United have come from behind.

It is the first time that the Magpies have won a Premier League game after going behind since February 2025. Incredibly, that was also a 4-3 victory as Howe’s side beat Nottingham Forest.

This win means even more for Newcastle United, who have conceded so many late goals themselves this season. It was nice to be on the other side of the coin, scoring twice in stoppage time to complete a remarkable comeback.

It is a seismic result, especially after Bruno recently questioned Newcastle’s mentality. The captain has released multiple passionate statements this season, having been part of a Toon side that has thrown away far too many points late on.

It was the other way around on Wednesday night, as the Magpies climb up to sixth in the table after their third consecutive league win.
