Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock have buried the hatchet, it seems.
During an otherwise fairly routine 3-1 win for Newcastle United against West Ham, Guimaraes and Willock were involved in a heated exchange.
The two fired angry words at each other, which saw Willock criticised on social media for openly disrespecting his captain.
The argument certainly appeared to come out of nowhere, given Newcastle were largely cruising in their final home game of the season.
Still, Guimaraes confirmed the two had made up on social media.

On Monday, Willock posted a collage of images from the game on Instagram.
Guimaraes was among the thousands who liked the post and the Brazilian even commented: “Friends again great A willockinho.”
Willock then responded with: “My captain” along with a love heart.
Willock is one of the players who could leave the club this summer. According to Martin Hardy of The Times, the long-serving midfielder is a potential sale ahead of Newcastle’s expected rebuild in the summer of 2026.
The former Arsenal star has enjoyed a recent run in the team of late, coming on to replace Sandro Tonali during the win over West Ham.
Tonali, another potential summer exit, came off with a hamstring problem in what could be his final ever home game on the club’s books but Eddie Howe suggested during his post-match press conference that the issue was not deemed serious.
Guimaraes is one of the best captains in Newcastle United history, so it certainly seemed strange that the two would argue in public.
While Newcastle fans are certainly no strangers to heated exchanges between players on the pitch, they have generally come in much more testing circumstances.
Thankfully, the pair appear to have made up heading into the final game of the season away at Fulham.
