Newcastle United are a different team with Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall both in the side.
Livramento and Hall have a transformative impact on this Newcastle United team, and both proved brilliant again on Saturday.
Indeed, the duo starred in Newcastle United’s 4-1 win over Everton, just as they had done against Manchester City last week.
Who was your MOTM against Everton?! So many to choose from, let us know your thoughts…
The win at the Hill Dickinson Stadium was only the third time the pair have started together this season. Newcastle are unbeaten in those three games.
They give Newcastle boundless energy up the flanks as well as brilliant delivery from wide areas.
Crucially, they also cut in-field to provide further support, as Danny Murphy pointed out.
Danny Murphy says Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall are “absolutely incredible”
The former Liverpool and England midfielder was speaking on BBC One’s Match of the Day.
When dissecting Newcastle’s huge win on Merseyside, Murphy paid special mention to their full-backs.
Reflecting on a clip which showed Livramento and Hall as Newcastle’s most advanced players, Murphy was full of praise for the way in which Eddie Howe deploys them.
“This is probably my favourite clip,” he said when looking back on Hall’s shot which hit the crossbar.
“Talk about, away from home being adventurous when you haven’t won, deciding to go for it.
“Look, when he picks it up here, Livramento, there’s the other full-back. The two highest players up the pitch, trying to play his other full-back in to get in on goal.
“[Hall] Gets his shot away and it just goes over. It’s absolutely incredible.”
Attention Newcastle fans! Did you see anything at the Hill Dickinson Stadium that you’d want at our potential new ground?!
Newcastle United’s theory about Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento proven right
It cannot be a coincidence that results are starting to improve now that both full-backs are available following injury.
What that says about the squad depth at Newcastle is another debate. Any injuries to them going forward and supporters can perhaps expect to see a downturn in performances.
Behind the scenes at the club, Newcastle insiders thought that Hall and Livramento could save their season once they returned from their absences.
Though the sample size is small, those who thought that appear to have been proven right.
The longer Hall and Livramento stay fit and healthy, the more chance Newcastle have of having a successful season.
Kieran Trippier and Dan Burn do a decent job when called upon but they just cannot compare to these two players.
